Day 5 in HK - 10/1/08

pam & i

pam & sylvia

us in the minibus

we decided to go on an adventure at midnight!! hehe. since pam & sylvia have never taken a minibus before, i suggested taking one at night just for the fun of it. the initial plan was to take the bus to CUHK cause i think that route is one of the most thrilling. esp as night. haha. but the road outside CUHK's quite quiet at night, so i suggested Lan Kwai Fong instead. so at the stroke of midnight, we trooped down to the MTR station to head over to Central. hur hur. we were one of the few jokers in the train. haha. but the ride was pretty fun. hehe.

singing

woke up early to go for K at Neway in Argyle. yippee yippee. the rooms there have improved! there's like a computer in the room, so that u can surf the net, plus a gaming console for u to while away time while others are singing. K is really cheap in HK, unlike SG. think it cost like HKD$68 for 3+ hrs. n we get free dessert as well. this is y i prefer K in HK over anywhere else. or shd i say, i just like Neway. If they were to come over to SG, i think they'ld definitely win K box & party world hands down!

having dinner @ a famous cheese noodles shop.

my dinner of cheese pork noodles & ice lemon tea

yum!

we noticed that all the celebrities who visit the shop have some weird pose or other. so i decided to improvise & come up with my own.

i simply love the noodles... highly recommended!! i'm drooling just thinking abt it. :D i love travelling. i can't wait for my next trip. hopefully more ppl can go & it'll be just like summer sch all over again. :D

had Maxim's for lunch. finally got to eat my spaghetti that i <3. always ate it during summer sch. :D

i look displeased. n i dunno y!!! haha

to Fa Yuen to search for Sean's shoes.. n mine. :D

adidas!

we had shabu shabu @ Maxim's at night. cost only HKD$70!! supremely cheap. n the food was soooo good. i felt super full after everything. n i think it was damn healthy cause of all the veg! the soup was v v nice too. :D

i think we're taking lesser pictures in HK now. prolly cause we've all been there quite a lot of times & pictures are quite redundant already. haha. but still, pictures are fun!

Day 3 in HK - 8/1/08

our yummylicious breakfast. porridge, you tiao + soya bean milk. :D

headed to Central today. stopped by IFC to check out MNG & Zara. too bad the pants i wanted from Zara was sold out. :( but pam found stuff!! hehe. so sylvia & i waited outside Zara for her cause she took quite some time. cameras are useful tools when u wanna while away time. ;) i miss everything abt HK.. the weather, the food, the shopping, everything! quite glad that i'm going back there again this aug. hehe. ;) time to stock up on work clothes, though i'm sure that i'ld have done quite a fair bit of shopping in HK already. but still, the more the merrier.

after IFC, we went over to Lin Heung, this old school dim sum place in mid levels. had high tea there the last time round during summer with yos & pris. the food there's really not bad. plus the atmosphere in the restaurant's really laid back. u get this dim sum auntie pushing a cart filled with baskets of dim sum ard, so its pretty cool. :) but we got kinda lost on the way cause i couldn't remember which side of the street the restaurant was. hehe. so we ended up walking quite a fair bit. :P but all was worth it for the food!

ok, i look like i'm in shock, so just ignore me here.

after finishing our v v heavy high tea. we took a tram the ole' fashioned way down to Causeway Bay! 2nd time on the tram. but i love it more in winter cause its lots more cooling. only HKD$2 per trip! how cheap can it get?

the interior of the tram

the court near statue square. featured in Survivor's Law 2! :D i think i have a better picture of it from my last trip though. :P

now, this sign is hilarious. taken at Times Square. u have female, male & universal. i guess that's for those who are undecided eh?? :P

outside Times Square! the only reason y we went there was to buy my Kate Super Sharp Liner. it was out of stock at the Causeway Bay branch. thank God they had it here. otherwise we'ld have to go down to TST to hunt for it.

last but not least, i present to u my fave place in Argyle.

my cold noodles!!!! :D

i like this!

Macau
Macau's really not a bad place to go to. But its only advisable in the winter. and that's coming from someone who lives in a country where its summer all yr round. there isn't really much to see there. Fisherman's Wharf was ok, but got kinda boring after a while. We ended up at Babylon's Casino @ the end of Fisherman's Wharf to play with the jackpot machines before heading back to the hotel to check out & head to the ferry terminal. Didn't shop at all in Macau, save for spending $$ on food & transport. I really wonder how the locals survive. honestly. the place itself is also quite small.

i <3 the self timer mode on my camera. comes in real handy when there's no one ard to snap pictures for u. all u have to do is to find a nice ledge with an appropriate height & hey presto! u get a nice picture. :D

Hong Kong

the sole picture taken in HK @ Fa Yuen.. hehe. fruits!! the strawberries were going for HKD$10 for 2 boxes! that's how cheap it was. we bought like a few boxes plus HKD$8 worth of bananas to bring back to the hotel to eat. ;) HK was great as usual. totally love the place. more pictures to be up soon.

we went like totally budget for this trip. took the public bus from the Macau-HK Ferry Terminal over to our hotel cause it was cheaper. my shoulders were like totally aching after dragging my bags up like 6 flights of stairs. thank God my luggage wasn't filled with my shopping yet. (more on that on the last day) managed to take the bus successfully from Sheung Wan(Western Mkt District) over to Prince Edward(Nathan Rd). *claps* rounded off the day with dinner @ this noodle joint near our hotel. Its the same one tt we used to frequent during our exchange in summer 06. everything's still the same. :) nice to know that some things haven't changed. ahhh. not forgetting eating my fave cold noodles @ the top floor of Argyle Center. i took a nice clear picture of it this time!!! hehe. happy. :D
