back from Boseong! the bus ride there took 5hrs! n we had to pay 28400won for our bus tickets there as it turned out to be an express bus instead of the regular one! the website very cleverly stated the lower price (19400won)... hmph. had to wake up at 5am both yesterday & today in order to catch the bus.

the trip to Boseong was really worth it! although esther kept fretting over whether we'ld we able to see green tea since its autumn. hah. but we did! the yoghurt green tea ice cream & green tea jjajangmyeon was really nice too. n of course, we bought back quite a lot of green tea to give away as gifts. ;) the scenery up there was really breathtaking! n the air was so clean & fresh too! quite different from Seoul. its really picturesque & shows you the stark contrast of the countryside VS the city!

we happened to meet a few kids there as we were looking for the busstop & since we were bored waiting for the bus to come, we decided to entertain ourselves by talking to them. ^^ they asked us what we did in SG for entertainment & we told them abt movies/shopping & stuff. they were pretty amazed & a couple of them started saying that they wanted to go overseas too. i really wonder how life is like for them there. the downtown there seems pretty quiet, save for a few bars/eating spots scattered along the coast.

완전히 가을이야!

the temperature dropped so suddenly 2 days back that its unfunny! it was super hot one day & super cold the next! v v weird weather! my korean friends were saying that the weather these days is v unlike what they've been used to. i think fall came much earlier for them last year.

i wore a thin cardigan + sweater out today & i was super cold! went edae with keum yeo & mike to shop + get a haircut! i need fall clothes... all my summer clothes are going back to Sg with esther(thanks!!). :) hehehe.

i like the weather now though. i can sleep without the aircon now. even with my window open, its even cooler than when i have my aircon turned on. ;)

had a nice dinner with my classmates @ 이원's place. dinner was cooked by the guys while me & 효로 lounged around on the couch. hehe. 이원's place is large! n for only 230원per mth too! think we'll probably have another dinner gathering when sachiko comes back from Busan. hehe.

i wanna go to Boseong this weekend! before sch starts. only drawback is that its like 5hrs away by bus!!! now all i have to do is to convince keum yeo & mike.. hehehe. :P

n i think mike's a hit with korean girls here. hehe. cause we were in a store in edae & the sales assistant came up to me & asked:

SA: 언니, 그 오빠가 언니의 애인이에요?
Me: 아... 아니에요. 근대 왜?
SA: ㅋㅋㅋ. 잘 생겨요!
Me: 진짜?
SA: 네....
Me: 하하하.

eng translation:

SA: is that oppa your boyfriend?
Me: oh.. no. why do you ask?
SA: haha. He's cute!
Me: really?
SA: oh yes..
Me: hahahha.

n the best part was that she kept looking out for mike when she saw that he left the store(cause he was too embarrassed). n she said 잘 생긴 오빠 안녕(bye cute oppa!) to mike when we left! hahaah. i think mike'll have no shortage of girlfriends if he does want to find one here in korea. :P

22nd Sept - Donghae! (동해)

went to 동해 with azu & chiko on mon. the bus journey alone took 3.5hrs! n it was full of ajummas... the scenery @ donghae was really gd. but there wasn't really much to do there except eat sashimi. if only there were more places to sightsee, it'll be perfect. the food was really expensive though. each person paid abt 34000won! *ouch* i've no idea how much it usually costs, but it seems pretty expensive to me though. n i don't really eat sashimi back in SG. but since i had to pay so much for it, i 'forced' myself to eat it. but surprise surprise, it wasn't too bad i guess. kinda chewy & springy?

TOPIK's over!!!!

Topik's finally over! ;) traveling out of seoul tomorrow with chiko, azu & some others(i think). meeting @ Hoegi @ 9am tomorrow! which means that i'll have to sleep/wake up early.. n the freaking bus ride is gonna take 3.5hrs!!! i'm gonna try stuff videos into my iriver edict so that i'll have something to entertain myself on the bus. either that, or sleep. both sound equally gd. :D



finished watching 대한민국 변호사 and i really liked it. got myself the book to read too. really need to brush up on my reading though. i think i read too slowly. in fact, i read everything slowly except for stuff written in english. my chinese reading is pretty slow too... ackkkk.

i need a new show to start on. but haven't really found anything that appeals to me yet. East of Eden's kinda draggy(50 episodes!!), Beethoven Virus seems a little boring(but i only watched 15mins so far).. will try out Love & Marriage later on & see how it goes. ;) or maybe i'll just d/l a bunch of variety shows & bring them along. they're gd for laughs anw. hehe.

AND

Shino's coming to korea tomorrow!!!! i'm so excited. really missed her & her accent. hehe. we're meeting up on tues! i think next week's gonna be packed. esp since its the week before sch starts again. most of my classmates are already back, which is gd. :)

TOPIK's on Sunday!

have been trying to study for the TOPIK exam to be held on sunday. i took a shot @ the past year paper & realised that there are words & idioms that don't appear in my KHU textbook at all! it was slightly more difficult than i thought it would be. need to expand my vocabulary base & hopefully, secure a level 4 pass in TOPIK!

went for a picnic on sunday with sachiko onni, aki onni, azu onni, keum yeo, yuko & chiko! we made sandwiches, mashed potatoes, sausages & brought loads of junk food along. ;) it was a really lovely day! great weather. except that the spot where we chose to sit seemed to be the birds' fave place to shit.(it rhymes!! a poem, anyone?? ;))

saw a grp of ajummas & ajosshis playing games under a tree, which i thought was really cute. the loser had to stand up and do this folk dance. hehe. i think the koreans are pretty jovial & gd at entertaining themselves. :P well, they sure provided quite a lot of entertainment for us.

there were plenty of ppl picnicking around the area too. i guess its quite common for them to do so. ;) esther! pam! we shd do this one day when i'm back!!! its v fun. ;) only it would be even better if the weather was a lot cooler.

rounded off the day with a 6km bike ride with chiko & keum yeo along the riverbank of the Han River. it was a really enjoyable ride.. the scenery alone was awesome.... bike rides in singapore can't compare. honestly.

난.. 이젠 심심하거든! 그레도 21일에 능력시험이 있으니까 공부해야지. 아마 내일부터 시작해? ㅋㅋ. 요즘 나 잘 살어. 왜냐하면 방학인데!! 오늘은 친구끼리하고 한강에서 픽닉했어. 너무 너무 재미있을 뿐만 아니라 은식도 맛있어. 진짜 많이 먹었다! 우리 그냥 메트에서 음식을 먹고 얘기했어. 다행히 오늘 날씨가 좋다. ㅋㅋ.

Mamma-Mia

headed over to Megabox @ dongdaemun to watch Mamma-Mia with Chiko & 강우오빠. The movie was really great! i really like Abba's songs. if u haven't watched the movie, go watch it! i think our parents esp, will like it.. haha.

the best part abt today was that we watched the movie for FREE! with popcorn & drinks thrown in. ;) because Megabox just opened on the 11th @ dongdaemun & if u sign up as a member, u get a pair of movie tickets for free! plus, there's a coupon for a free movie ticket, a free popcorn combo + free popcorn everytime u present yr membership card in this booklet they gave us. how great is that?! hehe. i'm super satisfied today. :D 강우오빠 was a huge help! originally we were supposed to fax in our details + alien reg card cause we're foreigners. but he managed to get the lady @ the VIP counter to verify our details immediately. so we managed to skip all the hassle & get our card on the spot. ;)
